About Best GPS Tech

Thank you for visiting our website!

Reasons why we started Best GPS Tech

We are not athletes, we are just ordinary people with a combined passion for fitness and technology. This website was born out of an idea, created to inform and educate other sport fanatics about the latest in GPS technology. Through BestGPSTech.com we have set out to review all things Garmin – it’s a company we know and collectively use their products on a day to day basis. That said we are not bias and will tell it straight if we believe something does not live up to its hype. We have no brand loyalty, as we are not sponsored or endorsed, and are not averse to trying out other brands and rating them against the competition.

How it works

We go out and buy the products and put them through their paces as part of our daily routines. Between us we run, cycle, golf, swim and spend time in the gym, living both indoor and outdoor lifestyles. At the end of our testing period we present you with an honest review in order to make an informed buying decision. We are completely independent, and our reviews are heartfelt and honest.

We are an eclectic mix of individuals, come and meet the team!

Andy Brooks

Andy Brooks – Best GPS Tech Founder/CEO

As a running enthusiast, I found it frustrating that there were limited review sites available willing to give me an honest opinion on the latest technology to aid my hobby. I am certainly not trendy (my kids will testify to that), however I am an early adopter and just love getting my hands on the most up-to-date gadgets. I didn’t want to waste my hard-earned cash on products that promised me everything yet offered me nothing in return.

Together with my magnificent team of writers, we have set up BestGPSTech.com in order to do the hard work for you (and I don’t mean the exercise!). We will sweat over the research to ensure that we bring you the good, the bad and the ugly as we review the latest GPS watches available on the market today. Whilst my marathon days may be behind me now (I’ll leave that to Laura to pursue with gusto), you’ll find me with my pedal to the metal as I take to the road, attempting to be the next Tyler Farrar as I indulge my new-found love of cycling.

Lucy Brooks – Writer

By day I am a freelance writer, whilst by night you’ll find me dabbling in lycra – for fitness purposes only. In the winter you will find me hibernating in my local gym, whilst during sunnier weather you might catch a glimpse of me stretching my legs as I run around the parks of New York.

I am never stuck for things to say (just ask my husband!) and just love trying out the latest technological craze – especially if it is made to make my life easier. When I am not sat at my laptop or working out, I am a prosecco loving, scooter riding mom to two gorgeous little girls.

Richard Harding – Review Contributor

I am a retired English teacher from New Jersey now living the high life in the South of Spain. When I am not cooking up a storm in my outdoor kitchen you will find me teeing off on the golf course. Fiercely competitive, I am constantly seeking the latest gadget that will put me one stroke ahead of my golfing companions. I combine my love of golf with a passion for travel and have played some of the top courses throughout America and Europe.

I am a sports physiotherapist at my local hospital and coach little league in my spare time. An avid explorer of the great outdoors, I love nothing more than hitting the surf, trail running and mountain biking. Having competed in marathons all over the world – including London, Venice and Boston – I am now in training for my first ever triathlon. When I finally hit the couch, you’ll find me relaxing with a good book or catching up on box sets.
